The aftermath of Cyclone Gabrielle contributed to a very busy 2023 for Peak Plumbing & Gas in Hawke’s Bay.

“It was really busy. We had so many clients who’d been badly affected, and the guys were rushed off their feet” recounts Suzanne Marryatt, Office Administrator at Peak Plumbing & Gas and Kyle Symons Electricians in Hastings.

Peak Plumbing & Gas is owned and run by Master Plumbers president Grayson Allen, with a tradesperson and an apprentice completing the team. It shares premises and office support with Kyle Symons Electricians.

Grayson was first introduced to PaySauce, our cloud-based payroll platform, at the 2023 Master Plumbers Conference. “PaySauce has given us confidence that all our payroll information is accurate. It gives the business peace of mind.”

Suzanne was able to do much of the setup herself. “The set-up was really easy. I did as much as I could, and then PaySauce customer support helped transfer leave balances across from a previous system”.

Suzanne also appreciated the training that was specific to Peak Plumbing & Gas. “The training used our business, our information, it wasn’t some fake trial company”.

The training culminated in Suzanne running her first pay run. “Training was easy, well-paced, and the trainer was really good. All the communication and support has always been great.”

With the team constantly on the road, the PaySauce Mobile App has been a valued tool. “The boys really like having their payslips and access to their information via the mobile app”.

For Suzanne, managing the books for multiple businesses and having PAYE automatically processed each week is not only super efficient, but it has been really useful from a cash flow management perspective. “Moving to PaySauce has saved us so much time”, says Suzanne. “I can now get onto other projects that I wouldn't have time to get to otherwise”.
